Louis Armstrong & Wynton Marsalis: Mosaic Portrait Installation, New Orleans.

I wanted to create something special here. A multi-dimensional piece to examine and talk about awhile. And I wanted it made entirely of materials from New Orleans.

It started with a photo.

This installation consisted of 10 panels, 8 ft. x 2 ft.

Each panel had to be cut, primed, painted, and beaded and beaned.

Each panel took about 30 hours.

I drove to New Orleans twice for new materials.
